Become A Chaplain
Wonder If You Are Being Called into the Hearts In The Light
Prayer Chaplain Ministry?
We invite you to prayerfully consider becoming a Prayer Chaplain. It is a ministry that differs from many other volunteer opportunities in terms of commitment-level, responsibilities, and its life changing experiences. This ministry will transform your prayer life and the lives of those with whom you pray, bringing together the connection between ministry and congregation.
If You Are Someone Who:
Is finding new ways to expand in your own spiritual journey,
Enjoys giving as much as you do receiving,
Is constantly in prayer for yourself and others,
Respects and understands the importance of confidentiality,
Is looking for ways to volunteer and be supportive of the church and its members,
Has experienced the peace of being prayed for or the joy of having a prayer answered and would like to be a part of others experiencing that for themselves,
Then The Hearts In The Light Prayer Chaplain Ministry May Be A Way For You To Serve Your Community.
What Is The Time Commitment?
The Hearts In The Light Prayer Chaplain Ministry is a service opportunity to meet the needs of those seeking support through prayer. Prayer Chaplains make a one-year commitment in fulfilling their responsibilities. The individuals who step forward to be a Hearts In The Light Prayer Chaplain participate in a training program designed to develop empathetic listening skills and to learn to create a sacred space in order to facilitate a God-centered prayer. Our Prayer Chaplains also call our church members who are experiencing challenges.
